JL Harstad & Co. was a small internet marketing business. Now the website is a way for Jean Harstad & Bill Swords to share information and other tidbits with our friends and the public. If you've found us take some time to look around and get to know us.

    Jean is now retired and loves to raise her chickens and help the community by donating her time with such projects as the local food pantry.

    Bill, always the tinkerer, is a disabled auto & diesel mechanic who now dabbles in computer repairs, computer programming, and web design. Being a mechanic at heart there is always an interest in vintage cars & trucks. Current project: 1952 Chevy Pickup

    We now live in Austin, PA where we moved to in 2005. Austin is in Potter County, Pennsylvania. It's the town that suffered the historic Austin Dam tragedy in 1911. Austin has suffered many tragedies throughout it's history but always seems to pop back up because of the strong will of it's residents. Potter County is affectionately called "God's Country" and for good reason. It's part of the PA Wilds where the deer, bear, turkey, and other critters run wild. If you ever get a chance to visit the area it should be toward the top of your list.
